Marked

He was marked at birth to bear the deeds of a fallen world.
The breath of creation that cried His first gasp of air would cry
in horror that sin’s price was His Father turning away.
He was marked for death, a perfect life.
Without blame, he would carry the crimes of the masses.
Without a word, he was pleased to be crushed and He interceded for those
who mocked Him and demanded His death.
He is marked for eternity to remind of a love so great that He bought a creation
that denied its creator.
In a perfect heaven, He will be the only one to bear the scars of an earthly existence.
